WEST SIDE COUNTY PARK
TREE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
As presented in the LMSA 2022 newsletter and at the annual meeting, the LMSA Board is coordinating a project to plant trees at West Side County Park to replace the trees that have been removed along the Lakeshore Drive frontage of the park. The Allegan County Parks Board has given its approval for this project based upon a planting plan recently finalized at the July 30 project team meeting at the park, attended by 12 local area residents. The finalized plan specifies five Autumn Blaze Maples and three Red Jewel Crabapple trees. In addition, grasses will be planted at the base of the large main park sign as well as at the smaller signs at each driveway.

The tree planting will be done in October once the trees have gone dormant. If you want to make a general donation or adopt a tree, please do so no later than September 15.
If more trees are adopted than the eight trees that are being planted, they will be prioritized by the date that the donation is submitted (day of check or date PayPal payment is made). |
Thank you for considering making a donation to this project.
